Our Providers | Portland Pediatric Doctors
Janeene Gordon MD, FAAP
Dr. Gordon is the newest addition to the team at Sunset Pediatrics, joining our practice in January 2025. Her experience in clinical pediatrics is extensive. With more than a decade of patient care under her belt, she has developed a family-centered approach to pediatrics that combines evidence-based medicine with a respect for each child as a special individual with unique strengths and challenges. She strives to partner with families to provide the best care possible and ensure each child’s physical, social, and emotional well-being.
After being raised in small towns in Wyoming and Maine, Dr. Gordon’s family relocated to the Pacific Northwest. She graduated from college at the University of Oregon with a degree in music, and after spending several years working as a professional bassist, she followed her passion for science to New York City, where she earned her medical degree at Columbia University and then completed a pediatric internship and residency at New York University. From there, she went on to gain extensive experience in pediatrics, working at diverse practices in New York, Las Vegas, and Washington, DC. During that time, she had the opportunity to treat patients of all ages and from all walks of life. She also spent time serving as pediatric academic faculty at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where she had the privilege of caring for children and families on active duty.
When she isn’t providing care for her patients, her interests include painting, drawing, and all kinds of art. In her spare time, you might also find her dancing, doing yoga, playing music, or exploring the exciting city of Portland!
Dr. Gordon is honored to be joining the team at Sunset Pediatrics, and looks forward to contributing to their strong commitment to children and their families. Her practice is open to new patients of all ages, from birth through adolescence, and she welcomes Spanish-speaking patients.
Larissa Madore MD, FAAP
Dr. Madore joined Sunset Pediatrics in July 2022 after relocating to the PNW. After completing her pediatric residency at The Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma in June 2009, she joined Northwest Pediatrics of Oklahoma City. There she practiced in primary care pediatrics. Her years at Northwest Pediatrics were very special and meaningful to her. She really enjoyed getting to know all her patients and families over the years and working hard to help them.
Dr. Madore grew up in Oklahoma City. She went to Boston University for her undergraduate education and earned a BA in History in 2000. After that she returned to Oklahoma to pursue her medical career, and spent 2 years doing some basic science research at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She then started medical school at the OUHSC and started pediatrics training after that. While practicing in Oklahoma, she also spent time teaching future pediatricians and helping to open the first pediatric urgent care clinic in Oklahoma City.
When not working, Dr. Madore enjoys spending time with her family, walking, hiking, watching sports, exploring Portland, wine tasting and eating delicious food!
Currently, Dr. Madore’s practice is open to new patients. Please contact our office about scheduling new patient appointments with her.

He also enjoys educating his patients and their families about habits of healthy living.
Dr. Ericksen and his family moved to Oregon after his education and residency training. He, along with his wife and four children, enjoy the great outdoors, the Pacific Northwest, and traveling together. He loves to serve others in his church callings.
