Children’s Day 2020

Children’s Day falls on Sunday, June 14th. Please join us virtually as we celebrate Children’s Day 2020!

Even though we can’t be together to celebrate, we wanted to share the spirit of Children’s Day with some great resources to help your fill your summer with health, wellness and FUN! Until things reopen and even when they do, we just have to do things a little differently!

Portland Children’s Museum

While the museum itself is still closed, they are accepting registrations for summer camps in July and August.

OMSI

During this temporary closure, OMSI is continuing its mission to provide informal science education across the region by sharing crafted and curated at-home science activities that can be enjoyed by all ages.

Mad Science Portland

Mad Science summer camps started in June. They also are offering lots of fun at-home activities to try!

Music Together of Beaverton

Music Together of Beaverton is offering interactive Zoom classes, livestream events and front porch jam sessions.

PLAY.FIT.FUN

PLAY.FIT.FUN is offering two new programs, family game night and Zoom kids action classes. Summer camps are also being offered.

Beaverton City Library

Beaverton Library will soon be offering curbside pickup service. Appointments can be initiated after Monday, June 15th. They are also offering lots of resources you can use at home, like live events, videos and reading programs.

Beaverton Farmers Market

The market is open on Saturdays from 9am-1:30pm. Check out the vendor list and options for ordering ahead.

99W Drive-In

Miss going to the movies? The 99W Drive-In theater is open in Newberg! Check out their Facebook page for information on tickets and showings.

Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District Summer Camps

THPRD is offering half-day, full day and all-day summer camps. Registration begins Saturday, June 13th and is available online or over the phone.

Summer Camps for All Ages

Skyhawks Sports Camps

Skyhawks camps offer a large variety of sports day camps including: tennis camp, outdoor basketball camp, soccer camp, flag football camp, “Mini-hawk camp” (baseball, basketball, and soccer), “Multi-sport camp” (baseball, soccer, and ultimate frisbee), baseball camp, lacrosse camp, golf camp, and cheerleading camp.

Foot Traffic Youth Running Camps 2020

Foot Traffic is a youth summer running/track camp. The sessions are divided into two different locations: west side and east side. East side is based at Grant Park in Portland, and West side is based at Terra Linda Park in Cedar Mill.

Pedalheads

Pedalheads teaches kids to 1) swim 2) ride bikes 3) play multiple sports. The skill levels vary for the bike riding camps from balance bikes all the way up to avid bikers.
